What we collect When you create an account we collect:

• Email address — to identify your account and communicate with you about the app.
• Learning preferences — why you're learning, your daily goal, and your confidence level. Used only to personalise your experience.
• Push notification token — only if you grant permission. Used to send learning reminders.

How your data is stored All data is currently stored on your device only (using your phone's local storage). Nothing is transmitted to our servers at this time. If this changes — for example when we add accounts and cross-device sync — we will update this policy and notify you before the change takes effect.

How we use your data

• To provide and improve the Niche Languages app
• To send you learning reminders (only if you enabled notifications)
• To personalise your lesson experience based on your stated goals

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for marketing.

Third-party services Push notifications are delivered through Apple (iOS) or Google (Android) infrastructure. This requires your device's push token to be registered with those platforms. Their privacy policies apply to that process:

Your rights You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you — email us and we'll send it within 30 days
• Delete your data — uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data immediately. Email us to request removal from any future server-side storage.
• Withdraw consent for notifications at any time via your device's notification settings.

Data retention Data stored on your device persists until you uninstall the app. If we introduce server-side storage in the future, we will retain your data for as long as your account is active, and delete it within 30 days of an account deletion request.
